US Department of Energy-sponsored Microbial Cell Project (http://microbialcellproject.org),
now folded into the Genomes to Life program (http://doegenomestolife.org),
aims at obtaining a comprehensive understanding of the function of
cells, based in part on the genome of the organism. In addition to
Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803, several other organisms are the
subject of a Microbial Cell Project at other institutions (see http://microbialcellproject.org/funding/index.html). |
